But he said to me, me,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version (NIV)9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

This newsletter is coming late in the month because I had other deadlines & Back to School Backs. But now I know it was God holding me off so I could report this testimony to all of you. We pre-registered families like we always do & distributed to those on Aug. 5th . Then with our backpacks that were left over we partnered with Tobiath Life Center and had a big give away in Sunbury Village at our new Men’s Shelter at 181 Norcross La., Pemberton . It was such a powerful day of ministry!! We distributed 283 backpacks & hygiene items in 2 1/2 hours under two canopies. We also had a prayer canopy on the side. It was a tremendously hot day with the heat index of 104, but that did not stop God from ministering to the individuals and children that came. There was a line of people standing in the hot sun for a long time just for prayer! There were children coming on their own without parents telling them to go for prayer. We would ask some of them what they wanted us to pray for and they said, “I want to pray” and they did!!! God just spoke to my heart that these children might be getting raised in a battlefield, but I am raising up warriors to stand & I will fight their battles!! Just to give you a little background on Sunbury Village, it is a low income, high crime area riddled with drugs & gangs. Two weeks before this outreach there were 2 shootings within 30 minutes of each other and one man was killed by police. This is a battlefield but there are many good hard working people & an estimated 600 children that live in this 260 housing development. Many Christian people who live there came to join in and pray for their development and children on that day. We had street ministers canvasing the streets just praying for the people and it was just like the verses in Luke 10:18 “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven”, when they returned to 181 Norcross La.! They testified that people got healed, saved, and set free in the Name of Jesus! We wanted to go in and bless the families and children to go and start the new school year off and we did but we were all so encouraged to know that God goes before us and is preparing up a generation of CONQUERS! If you have been touched by God, you need to come share it with someone who needs to be touched just like you did. Some people will be able to pray with someone, someone who has been blessed financially will be able to bless many, someone who has been saved, healed, delivered will be able to witness, someone who has been lead by someone else will now be able to lead. Give us a call and join us as God moves in this ministry! Abiding in Him, Madelyn Sutton
