A word from our Director
“
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11
How can we overcome sin, sickness, addictions, poverty, homelessness, etc. in 2021? The for sure way is found in Revelation 12:11
Margo Van Stralen on Revelation 12:11
The power of God to us is the shed blood of Christ. We acknowledge His sacrifice and receive His gift of eternal life. Our confessed belief in JESUS and our redeemed life is a testimony to others.
Wesley's Notes for Revelation 12:11
12:11 And they have overcome him - Carried the cause against him. By the blood of the Lamb - Which cleanses the soul from all sin, and so leaves no room for accusing. And by the word of their testimony - The word of God, which they believed and testified, even unto death.
One of the biggest problems of new Christians or even seasoned Christians is the guilt they feel from their years of sins. What do we say to people who tell me “You don’t know what I have done.” The prostitute who is drug addicted – Jesus is your answer! What Jesus did on the cross is the only payment that can redeem any of us, whether you are gossiper or a prostitute. The love that Jesus has for each one of us comes out in John 10:14,16 when He says “I am the good shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me. “I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen, I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be on flock and one shepherd.” If we are one of His sheep, then this is where we need to love on the ones that are not there yet. We need to be aggressive and loving to share the Gospel with others and to bring them to the feet of Jesus. If there is one thing that 2020 has taught all of us is we are not promised tomorrow. We need to start living, talking and reaching people like it is their and our last day and we might not have another chance. We need to have an urgency and quickening of the Holy Spirit to love like God in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…” You’ll have to forgive me but I am so excited about 2021, the New Year and a new chance to share the Gospel with many people. You know what I am finding is that the Holy Spirit is already working in people and they really want to hear the Gospel. They know they need miracles in this day. They know they don’t have the answers and they are looking for the answers. It is an exciting time! It’s also a challenging time. We are still seeing record numbers of need for food, shelter, utilities, past due rents, etc. But with your continued help, we are meeting them-PTL!! We are in the midst of compiling the numbers of people we helped and they are staggering. Unprecedented need and outstanding ways of meeting them. Without you, our partners and supporters, that wouldn’t have been possible. But we overcame with Jesus and we have a testimony!!! I am also so very thankful and grateful to all of you that continue to support the Christian Caring Center that enables us to reach so many. THANK YOU!!!
Abiding in Him,
Madelyn Sutton, Executive Director
