Phil 4:10 “How I praise the Lord that you are concerned about me again. I know you have always been concerned for me, but you didn’t have the chance to me.”

Just like Paul is speaking to the Philippian Church and their concern & support, I think of you in the same way! I know you are concern and I feel your prayers and I see your support, some of you for years! Like Paul, He recognizes that the Philippians have an ongoing and sincere interest in his well-being. Paul knew about their support for him, regardless of whether they sent additional financial support. By now all of us have heard of the federal financial freeze on grants. The CCC will be affected by this. We do receive a Emergency Food & Shelter (EFSP) Grant out of the FEMA office every year that funds payments for our community lunch, shelters, and rent payments to our clients. We also receive a federal grant that is funneled through Burl. County that pays, rents, security deposits, shelters, motels, food pantry & case management. These 2 are our largest grants. We usually prepare our EFSP grant and there have been NO notifications as of yet. God has also shown us to “not put all our eggs in one basket”. Last year, we promoted Randy to Development Director, and he has been diligently working on events and opportunities for different support. We have attached a list of these events for the coming year. However, they have never been more important than at this time, so we can continue to support the growing needs in the community. We want to encourage you to participate in these events. They are all family friendly, and we can teach our children and grandchild how we can support others, be good stewards of what God has given to us and have fun. Whether you come to the Resilience Mother’s Day jewelry and accessories sale, Pickle Ball Tournament, Corn Hole Tournament, or Sleep Out, and Holiday Basket Outreaches - or all of them. There are so many ways to get involved also. You can sponsor an event financially, have a sign up for the tournaments or a food drive at your place of employment, church or civic group, sign up to help us on a committee to decorate, you can become a Gideon monthly supporter, make sandwiches, etc. Our Holiday Basket Outreaches are so much fun and really add to your personal celebration & worship experience. You can hold a food drive, volunteer, contribute, etc.
Now more than ever we need you. We are all experiencing inflation in our economy, but we have senior citizens, young families with children, mentally challenged and addicted people just trying to survive. You are making a difference in their lives. I talk about 1 of our mentally challenged homeless women, Suzie. This past code blue she finally accepted a room and after a week- she looked WONDERFUL! Rested, clean and she was smiling! You were a part of that, we gave her food & shelter but also hope and piece of mind-PTL!
You are who God has chosen to support us through prayer, support, and volunteers. We can only continue to do ministry to people who are lost and hurting with your help, support and prayers of all of you. It takes the kingdom of God to impower this work, and we count it all joy to have you are on our team. Thank you so much for continuing to support the CCC.
